The RCEP Electrical Industry Cooperation Conference and Inauguration Ceremony of RCEP Electrical Industry Cooperation Committee were held in Wenzhou. The mayor Yao Gaocou, acting Mayor of Yueqing Dai Xuqiang, the executive Director of China-ASEAN Business Council and the Chairman of RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee Xu Ningning, and business leaders from various countries attended the event and delivered speeches. Chint Group Chairman Nan Cunhui became the Chinese Chairman of the RCEP Electrical Industry Cooperation Committee and delivered the keynote speech.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) is a regional FTA initiated by ASEAN and signed by 15 member states from China, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and 10 ASEAN states. Wenzhou has close trade relations with the RCEP countries, and Yueqing, with its deep electrical industry base, has become the location of the Chinese Secretariat of the RCEP Electrical Industry Cooperation Committee, which will drive the gathering of quality resources from the RCEP countries in Wenzhou and accelerate the local electrical industry towards a world-class industry cluster.
